Advisory Board Member Neal Lux Shares Leadership Insights at Forum

Leadership Forum with Advisory Board Member Neal Lux, President & CEO of Forum Energy Technologies

Energy Workforce’s Leadership Forum featuring Advisory Board Member Neal Lux, President & CEO of Forum Energy Technologies, was held last week. Neal shared career and leadership insights, focusing on key topics such as fostering a strong culture, collaboration and time management.

Neal opened the forum with an overview of Forum Energy Technologies and their contributions to the sector, allowing participants to understand his background and current day-to-day tasks.

After the overview, he delved into a few topics that have allowed him to grow into the leader he is today—one of the topics being time management. Neal shared how setting strategic objectives for yourself and your company can help make future goals more attainable and successful.

Another key point Neal emphasized was the importance of continuous knowledge and learning about the industry and each role at the company.

“It’s crucial to keep learning and investing your time in expanding your industry knowledge and skill sets,” Neal shared with participants. This key insight allowed participants to understand further that no matter their role, learning never stops, and there is always room for growth.

Along with highlighting lifelong education, Neal shared how morals and values are key to success in your career journey.

“One of the hardest lessons I’ve learned throughout my career journey was during my time at a startup. We faced a challenging decision that tested our integrity but ultimately reinforced our commitment to our values. This experience taught me the importance of standing firm in your beliefs, no matter your role or the company you’re with.”

To wrap up the forum, Neal opened the floor to a Q&A session, during which participants could dig deeper into his journey and leadership mindset.
