EWTC Applauds Interior Department Offshore Energy Leasing Schedule
Certainty in leasing means investment, jobs, and stronger U.S. energy leadership
HOUSTON– Energy Workforce & Technology Council (EWTC) issued the following statement after the Department of the Interior released its offshore leasing schedule under the One Big Beautiful Bill:
“A predictable leasing schedule means more American energy, more American jobs, and stronger U.S. security,” said Energy Workforce President Tim Tarpley. “Offshore development doesn’t just power the Gulf, it powers the entire nation. Every single state benefits from the supply chains, workforce, and revenue that come from offshore energy. With this schedule in place, America can keep leading, keep investing, and keep energy affordable.”
The offshore industry supports tens of thousands of energy workers and generates revenues that flow directly to states and communities nationwide. A predictable leasing program strengthens national security, stabilizes supply chains, and safeguards America’s ability to meet growing energy demand.
