Last week, EWTC President Tim Tarpley kicked off the Oil & Gas session at Mustang Cat’s 2025 Economic Summit, sharing a policy update on trade, permitting reform, and state and federal issues, key topics that continue to influence how companies operate and plan for growth.
Tim led a discussion around the challenges and opportunities presented by a growing worldwide energy demand. He stressed that to meet these growing demands, it’s essential that Congress pass a permitting reform package to keep projects moving and maintain U.S. energy leadership. Meaningful permitting reform would provide much-needed regulatory certainty and help keep critical energy infrastructure projects on schedule. However, with the current government shutdown, the window to get a permitting reform package across the finish line is closing fast.
Thank you to Mustang Cat for hosting. It was a great opportunity to pack a room full of industry leaders to discuss the role oil and gas play in our economy and the issues driving policy discussions.
