More than forty participants from nine different companies gathered at Diamondback Energy in Midland last week for this year’s second iteration of the Frontline Leadership Program. Attendees engaged in interactive sessions focused on refining leadership skills, strengthening team engagement, and reinforcing a culture of safety and trust.
The session was sponsored by Strategic Partners, Chevron, and SLB.
Facilitated by Heidrick & Struggles, the two-day seminar is designed to support the transition from individual contributor to effective leader, equipping participants with insights and tools to lead with purpose and impact.
Throughout the program, participants explored key leadership concepts that emphasized adaptability, communication, and accountability. Interactive group discussions and reflection exercises encouraged attendees to think critically about how leadership affects team dynamics, performance, and morale. One participant shared, “Now I can really understand my team’s styles and better communicate with them on a daily basis.”
Participants also gained valuable perspective on how everyday interactions influence team culture. “This exercise got to me because it made me realize who in my department falls where, how we can try to get him out of that spot and help them improve,” another attendee noted.
The program concluded with a focus on emotional intelligence, trust-building, and practical ways to enhance team connection and engagement. “This program taught me how to be accountable for my emotions and not let them dictate my decision-making,” said one participant.
Registration is now open for the upcoming sessions of the Frontline Leadership Program:
